Every action, no matter how small, always has an impact. Whatever we do might not affect everything or everyone in this world. But it does make a difference. Everything we do today might not get us the result in this instance, but those efforts are never wasted.
Small daily actions can have a huge impact on the future. GLOBAL FOUNDATION is working with a mission of making this world greener than how we found it. For many years, GLOBAL FOUNDATION, along with its volunteers, is planting and nurturing trees at over all Maharashtra, Solapur, Pune.
New visitors might not be able to understand the impact of planting trees right away, but people who are regular visitors at Pune and Solapur for more than 5-6 years can recognize the change in the place because of the trees we’ve planted. Working for the environment is no one man’s job. We all need to come together to do it. Hence, we try our best to get as many people involved in Nelda as possible. All our events are public and open to anyone who wants to join.
Volunteer for our Tree Plantation Activities
Every individual, being a part of society, should have awareness & responsibility of giving back. Individuals have the power & potential to bring in change if channeled in the right direction. Nelda helps you channel your potential towards a noble cause i.e donating and planting trees. Any individual who wishes to bring a change can join with Nelda. Either you can donate a tree or you can donate your ‘Shram’ (efforts) towards tree plantation & nurturing by volunteering with Nelda in Pune.
Since we started Nelda in 2021, tens of thousands of volunteers have joined us and have contributed to forestation. All our volunteers share our common dream to make this earth a greener place. Individuals who have volunteered with Nelda in Pune and Solapur have planted thousands of trees so far. But we’re not going to stop here. With the continuous support from individuals from all over Pune and Solapur, we are continuously growing & scaling up in our activities!
Tree Plantation initiative is to combat climate change, promote biodiversity, and support sustainable development through large-scale tree planting efforts. The specific goals of this initiative typically include:
- Carbon Sequestration: Planting trees to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, thus helping to mitigate the effects of climate change.
- Promote Biodiversity: Establishing green spaces that provide habitats for wildlife and support the regeneration of ecosystems.
- Soil and Water Conservation: Preventing soil erosion, enhancing soil fertility, and improving water retention, which supports agriculture and local water cycles.
- Community Engagement and Empowerment: Involving local communities in tree plantation activities to foster environmental stewardship and create employment opportunities.
- Public Awareness and Education: Raising awareness about the importance of trees and environmental protection through educational programs and community events.
- Urban Greening: Enhancing urban landscapes by creating green spaces that reduce pollution, cool urban environments, and improve the quality of life for residents.
